I'm a film student at Emerson College...But unfortunately, I cannot stay next year due to financial reasons. So...I guess I'll have to find my own way at making it big...

No more filmmaking.

I won't be able to make any of my own films for awhile.

I'll continue on with the Elveswood novel.
Besides that, there will be nothing else.

Goodbye film.

Elveswood - The Novel

I am currently working on a young adult novel of Elveswood, which I'd like to be published by Simon & Shuster. I was greatly impressed by the style of the Spiderwick Chronicles, and that it is a similar style I'd like to adopt for Elveswood.

Working on new script for film to shoot over the summer: Body of My Brother, a Revolutionary War about a girl from a loyalist family during the American Revolution. When her brother dies fighting for the Americans, she disguises herself and takes his place in the fight, despite her family's opposing political views. She realizes that her brother was so passionate for the cause that he would go against everything their family stood for, and died for something he believed in. Shooting Summer '09. DOP probably Brad Patterson, Full Sail '07. Excerpt from the script below.:

DINING ROOM INT.--NIGHT

The family, minus BEN is eating a solemn dinner. Besides MOTHER,
FATHER, and ABBY, there is her 15 year old sister ROESMARY,
her 7 year old brother WILLIAM, and her elderly GRANDFATHER
GEORGE. Also with them are two BRITISH OFFICERS who have
quartered with them, since they are a Loyalist family.

FATHER
I can't understand it really. This
whole damn war. So many lives
wasted. Families uprooted. And for
what?

BRITISH OFFICER 1
The rebels are foolish. Yet I
can't understand why we haven't put
them down yet.

FATHER
Yes, and then Ben has to die for
something that could have ended
months ago.

BRITISH OFFICER 2
If only they would realize that the
King has the colonists best
interests at heart, really. Then
this bloodshed could be spared.

BRITISH OFFICER 1
Spared indeed. A simple raise of
tax should not be the cause for a
civil war. Because that's really
what it is, isn't it? The rebels
are bent on anarchy...either that
or total separation from England.

FATHER
Isn't it apparent that it's
separation? Obviously, since the King
is hundreds of miles away, the
people cannot have their say in any
matter. But again, I don't see what
the problem is...

MOTHER
Can we please stop talking
politics? Have you so quickly forgotten
that our beloved son has been
killed in the line of battle?

BRITISH OFFICER 1
Yes, and the King will not forget
those who have fallen for the
crown.

MOTHER
How does that help us? Hmm? What
exactly justifies our son dying?
Trying to suppress a minor
insurrection is not cause for
hundreds of families torn on both
sides.

FATHER
We tried to dissuade, but...he was
a man. And he made his decision.

BRITISH OFFICER 1
Do you know what regiment he was a
part of?

MOTHER
No. It was very odd. He never sent
us letters, or visited us...I had
no idea where he was.

BRITISH OFFICER 2
I'm sure he died valiantly.

GEORGE
He will be sorely missed.

He glances at ABBY, who has been staring at her plate the entire
time, silent. She catches his glance and nods.

WILLIAM
My tummy hurts...

MOTHER
Did you eat too much?

WILLIAM
I do believe I did...

BRITISH OFFICER 1
Strapping young lad. He'll make a
fine soldier someday.

MOTHER (COLDLY)
I'm sure he would.

Suddenly, the family's black SLAVE BITTY emerges from

BITTY
Mas'ah, dessert is ready.

FATHER
What is it?

BITTY
Pipin' hawt fresh peachy cawbla!

FATHER
Very good Bitty, bring it in.

She does so, with the aid of a few more SLAVES. WILLIAM starts
digging in.

MOTHER
I thought you said your stomach
hurt?

WILLIAM
Oh, that was before the dessert
mother.

MOTHER
Ah I see.

FATHER
How are your quarters? Comfortable?

BRITISH OFFICER 1
Quite splendid, thank you.

ABBY
If you'll excuse me.

ABBY exits.

EXT. streets of Berlin - Early Morning

Police cars intermingled with US Army vehicles race through the darkened city streets.

int. living room - continuous

A tall, well-dressed MAN stands in the middle of the living room. The only source of light is the murky twilight coming from the window at the far corner of the room. On the table in front of him is a Nazi uniform.

MAN (V.O.)

(in German)

They are coming.

EXT. labor camp - day (flashback)

MAN

(in German)

What...?

Nazi Guard

(in German)

I said they are coming, sir.

MAN

(in German)

Oh... Good.

The two men stand by a fence at the edge of the sparse, snow-covered camp. The Man wears his uniform, a high ranking party member. The guard he speaks to is rather young and rather plain looking. Other guards lead a large group of prisoners, single file, toward the two men.

EXT. STREETS OF BERLIN - EARLY MORNING

Some soldiers are dropped off as the rest of the vehicles drive onward. The soldier who appears to be leading the group holds a piece of paper. He points the others towards the house fronts ahead.

INT. LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

The Man stares with piercing blue eyes at the red sash on the arm of the uniform.

EXT. LABOR CAMP - DAY (FLASHBACK)

The sickly-looking prisoners shuffle forward. They look like corpses in striped pajamas. One prisoner catches the Man's eye: a young BOY. He's not dead like the others, not yet.

NAZI GUARD

(in German)

Stop. Today is an important day.

The prisoners are brought to a halt. The guards leading them stand at the ready, guns in hand. None of the prisoners are wearing shoes. The Nazi Guard turns to the Man.

NAZI GUARD (Cont'd)

(in German)

How many did you say?

MAN

(in German)

The orders say twelve.

EXT. STREETS OF BERLIN - EARLY MORNING

The soldiers begin knocking on doors in pairs.

INT. LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

The Man closes his eyes.

MAN (V.O.)

(in German)

It's time.

EXT. LABOR CAMP - DAY (FLASHBACK)

NAZI GUARD

(in German)

The first twelve of you who move, will die.

The young Boy slowly reaches back to hold the hand of the older man behind him. The Nazi Guard smiles and points another guard over to the Boy. The guard grabs the boy and drags him out of the line. The Boy screams and reaches back for the older man's hand, grasping at air. The older man doesn't react, he just closes his eyes.

The Nazi Guard walks over behind the Boy and whispers:

NAZI GUARD

(in German)

I am going to shoot you in the head. You will die and your father will watch.

Boy

(in German)

Papa! Papa please!

The older man looks over at his son without moving his head. The Nazi Guard puts his gun next the Boy's head. He pulls the trigger. Small drops of blood fly over and stain the older man's clothes. He winces.

NAZI GUARD

(in German)

And now you.

The Man watches from by the fence. He holds a pocket watch in his shaking hand.

INT. LIVING ROOM - early morning

There is a knock at the door. The Man looks up from the uniform. His blond WIFE stares at him from an adjacent room. Both look helplessly to the back door.
